Some Iranian artists are daring to paint in the figurative tradition -- even though Iranian authorities denounce such works as un-Islamic. "Iranian Bodies," shown at Berlin's Werkstaffgaleria in March, is an example of contemporary work from Iranian artists who are challenging the official doctrine of Iranian art.
